Vegan Korean Fried Cauliflower Recipe

This Korean fried cauliflower recipe is crispy and exceedingly moreish.  An ideal starter or snack. Serve with Thai sweet chilli sauce or use a spicier buffalo sauce.

Ingredients

65g cornflour
65g flour
1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate soda
40g sesame seeds, plus more for garnish
240ml cold water
1 head cauliflower, cut into 1-inch florets
4 sliced spring onions
Thai sweet chilli sauce.

Directions
Heat oil in the fryer.
Combine cornflour, flour, bicarbonate of soda and sesame seeds in a large bowl and mix together.
Add water and whisk until a smooth batter is formed.
Add cauliflower to batter.
Allow excess batter to drip off.
Lower into the hot oil.
Repeat with remaining cauliflower until fryer is full.
Cook until evenly golden brown.
Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
Toss fried cauliflower with sauce and sprinkle with extra sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.
