Foodie Events at Merchant City Festival

It's nearly time for the Merchant City Festival in Glasgow so here's hoping the sun keeps shining!

We've picked a few foodie-related pieces from the programme for inspiration.

There will cooking demos in Merchant Square and street food vendors outside with the weekend road closure of Miller Street ensuring that there will be more pavement eating from restaurants such as Soho, Spiritualist, Spanish Butcher, Paesano Pizza and Cup Tea Room / Gin 71.

Glasgow Walking Lunch: Light Bite

Join food and travel writer Andrea Pearson (The List Eating and Drinking Guide, Herald newspaper) on a guided tour with refreshments along the way. Read about the time we did the Glasgow in four courses walking food tour here.

Merchant Square Cocktail Demonstrations
A delicious line-up of cocktail tastings and competitions.

7pm – 8pm

Jon O’Connor, the Brand Ambassador for Marblehead will talk through a few brands and do a tasting with Don Papa Rum.

8pm – 9pm

Jon O’Connor will host a cocktail competition with Don Papa 7 year Spiced Rum with bartenders from Metropolitan, Bar Soba, Boteco Do Brasil, Steak Cattle and Roll, and Boudoir.
