Homemade Delicious Scottish beef sausage rolls

Did you know that beef sausage is the meat used inside a Scottish sausage roll and that pork sausage is traditionally an English ingredient? I hadn’t noticed this until a few years ago when I was a judge at The World Championship Scotch Pie Awards when it was brought to my attention. I mean a sausage roll is a sausage roll isn’t it (the right answer seemingly is no!) So here’s a recipe for a Scottish Beef Sausage Roll, we also have a pork sausage roll recipe here.

These Scottish Beef Sausage Rolls freeze well and reheat easily as well.
