Within the towering blocks around Archway tube station you’ll find a piece of artwork which was commissioned by Islington Council and designed by Catherine Clark and Maud Milton.  The mosaic celebrating the Irish community in Islington

The panels on this mosaic depict the lives of the Irish of Islington as well as symbols and art.

The mosaic is close to the Archway Tavern, which was a popular place for Irish Londoners to congregate.
