Hogmanay Party - Ashton Lane, Glasgow - Tickets on sale

ASHTON LANE RELEASES TICKETS TO HOTTEST HOGMANAY PARTY IN TOWN

…WEST END STREET PARTY IS BACK SUPPORTING STV APPEAL 2013…

Tickets to Ashton Lane’s highly anticipated Hogmanay Street Party go on sale tomorrow, Friday 8th November at noon, giving thousands of revellers the chance to snap up tickets (£25 each) for the annual New Year celebration while supporting the STV Appeal 2013.

3000 tickets will be available in total for Ashton Lane’s Hogmanay Street Party with £1 from each ticket going towards the STV Appeal, which raises money for children and young people affected by poverty in Scotland.

Organisers are promising the event, sponsored by Crabbie’s Ginger Beer and Budweiser Budvar, will be even bigger and better than ever giving party-goers the chance to soak up the buzzing west end atmosphere as they hop around some of Glasgow’s best bars and restaurants.

In the lane revellers will be able to party the night away enjoying great live entertainment from DJs, street performers and even a mini carnival under the twinkling lights of Ashton Lane.

Venues within the Lane including Brel, Ketchup, Jinty McGinty’s, The Ubiquitious Chip, The Lane, The Grosvenor Café, Nude  and Vodka Wodka will also be offering great dining packages and live entertainment on the night before the grand finale out in the Lane; a spectacular firework display as the clock strikes midnight.

The STV Appeal is committed to helping children and young people affected by poverty in Scotland and in 2013 so far the Appeal has raised over £2.5m. All the money donated to STV Appeal is spent on the children who need it most and every penny raised stays in Scotland.

Elizabeth Partyka of the STV Appeal said: "It's fantastic that Ashton Lane Street Party has chosen STV Appeal as its charity partner. The Street Party will be a brilliant way to ring in the New Year while also helping to support children and young people affected by poverty in Scotland."

Michael Thomas, Operations Manager for The Grosvenor Café in Ashton Lane said: “The festive season is nearly upon us and we’re excited to release tickets for this year’s Hogmanay celebration – in Ashton Lane tradition we’re sure it’s going to be a brilliant night with lots of entertainment to start the New Year.

“What is even better this year is the fact we are supporting the great work of the STV Appeal by donating £1 from every ticket to the charity aiming to raise at least £3000 on Hogmanay alone.

“In keeping with previous years we are expecting tickets to go fast and would encourage people to get theirs quick to avoid missing out on the festivities.”

Tickets can be purchased at Brel, Vodka Wodka, Jinty McGuintys Irish Bar, Ubiquitous Chip, Grosvenor Cafe , Grosvenor Cinema or online at Ticketmaster.
