Bear Hotel, 41 Charnham Street, Hungerford, Berkshire - April 2011

02/05/2011 by Emma Leave a Comment

Traditional village style on the outside but modern inside. Friendly staff and atmosphere.

Lambs kidneys - was enjoyed by the other half but I wasn't a big fan, good to see something different on the menu.

Fish n chips - meaty cod lovely

ham, duck egg and chips - tasty ham, dribbly egg to dip your chips into, good honest grub!

orange creme brulee with a florentine - gorgeous, lightly flavoured brulee.

Lemon tart - refreshing lemon flavour.

Rhubarb and apple pie -

£76 in all including a bottle of wine.  All dishes were tasteful however the prices were rather steep for what is food served in a pub setting.

About Emma

Has been eating and drinking for far too long. Usually found hibernating on a couch, snuggling a cat.
