Award-Winning Producers Sign Up for Inaugural Taste Dunoon Food and Drink Festival

Preparations are gathering pace for the first-ever Taste Dunoon food and drink festival, with more than 65 businesses already confirmed to take part in the two-day celebration of food, drink and local produce on Dunoon’s seafront from 25–26 July 2026.

Organised by Dunoon Presents, the festival will showcase some of Scotland’s finest independent producers, artisan makers and street food vendors, while also creating a lasting legacy through a new food and drink trail highlighting local businesses across the town.

Among the featured producers will be Dunoon Goes Pop, known for its handcrafted fizzy drinks and cordials made with natural ingredients, alongside the award-winning Kents of Dunoon butchers.

The festival will be officially opened by Scotland’s National Chef, Gary Maclean, and organisers say interest from both exhibitors and visitors continues to grow.

Ciorsdan Fagan of Dunoon Presents said:

“We already have more than 65 businesses confirmed, including a number of producers who have recently received national recognition for their products. The inaugural event is shaping up to be a fantastic showcase of the food and drink talent we have here in Argyll and across Scotland.”

Visitors can look forward to a diverse range of exhibitors, including Dumpling Mama, whose Cantonese dumplings earned second place at the 2025 Scottish Street Food Awards, and Titan Spirits, which recently secured gold at the World Rum Awards.

Other producers set to attend include everythingCHILLI, known for its award-winning preserves, traditional Scottish baker Granny Beaton’s, and Chouxmake’s Cakes.

Also joining the line-up is Wee Knob of Butter, which was shortlisted for Dairy Product of the Year at the 2025 Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards. Founded by Jules Bal in 2021, the business has built a reputation for producing artisan butter using premium Scottish ingredients.

Jules said:

“From the beginning, our focus has been on creating the finest artisan butter in Scotland using the best local ingredients available. That’s a commitment we’ve maintained since day one.”

Argyll-based Selkie Seaweed will also be bringing its seaweed-infused butter products to the festival, showcasing the flavours of Scotland’s west coast through sustainably grown kelp.

Ciorsdan added:

“Many of our exhibitors have earned recognition on a national stage, giving visitors and local residents the opportunity to discover and sample some truly outstanding products.”

The arrival of the iconic paddle steamer PS Waverley on 24 July is expected to add to the festival atmosphere, offering visitors the chance to travel “doon the watter” from Glasgow before spending the weekend enjoying the event.
