What we ordered at The Selkie Dundee

Bacon with maple syrup

Sweet and salty is always a winning breakfast combination, and the bacon with maple syrup hit the spot. The bacon had that lovely savoury edge, while the maple syrup added a glossy sweetness without taking over the plate.

It is the kind of breakfast dish that feels like a weekend treat — simple, indulgent and very easy to enjoy.

Sourdough with bacon and poached eggs

The sourdough with bacon and poached eggs was the standout dish. The toast gave a good crunch, the bacon added smokiness, and the poached eggs brought everything together with rich, golden yolks.

This is exactly the sort of breakfast we love: unfussy, filling and built around good ingredients. The sourdough held up well underneath the eggs, making every forkful properly satisfying.

Americano

Alongside breakfast, we ordered an Americano. Smooth, hot and strong enough to wake us up, it made a good match for the richer bacon and egg dishes.
