Recipe: Graveyard Tortilla Bake

29/10/2019 by Emma

Ghoulish Graveyard Tortilla Bake for Halloween

The spooky season of Halloween is nearly here and we have an amazingly easy Graveyard Tortilla Bake to warm up the coldest ghost this Halloween 👻.  Like a Mexican style lasagne only with tortillas instead of pasta.

If you are looking for more of a party dip, then heat the beans and layer salsa, beans and cream without the layered tortillas for a dip - no need to bake if you are doing this.

Ingredients

1 can refried beans
1 tub of sour cream
1 pkt taco seasoning
200g salsa
1 Pack of tortillas
Spring onions to garnish

Method

Mix the sour cream and taco seasoning in a small bowl.
In a baking dish, pour in the refried beans across the bottom evenly.
Add Tortillas as if layering lasagne.
Add the salsa layer.
Add another layer of tortillas.
Pour the sour cream and taco seasoning mixture over the top.
Scatter over the top chopped spring onions.
Place bake into oven.  Bake at until dish is hot throughout.

For the tombstones and tree: cut the shapes out of 2 large tortillas and place on a parchment paper-lined baking tray.  Cook until tortillas are toasted.

Add tombstones and tree to bake.
