What better way to offset waiting for a car service than to sit in Kember and Jones? £8.10 for a waffle with syrup and berries plus a gorgeous cappuccino. Friendly and quick service, only down point was it was quite hot and stuffy upstairs.
Deli and cafe with breakfasts, muffins, sandwiches.
Kid friendly, but dont let that put you off 😉
Enjoyed our visit for dinner, loved the west end feel about the place the comfy cornice mezzanine which although busy did not feel cramped. Food was on trend for summer, mostly platters. A delicious mix of delights from the counter served up on uber cool wooden platters. We both had the smoked salmon and mackerell pate which was yummy but a bit much would have been better to share one each and have a desert or some thing else. The food was a bit of a surprise and we could have been better advised on our choice as we had to leave quite a bit which was a shame. We will know better next time as we will be back. Adored the organic red, rich and alcholic wine , it was a great pressure releaser. The sevice was’t exactly brilliant but they looked good and weren’t snotty ,a little under trained but that was part of the charm. On paying our very reasonable bill we had a quick glance at the cookery books laid out on a large flat table, weren’t sure whether they were for sale or what but it all meshed well into a foodie haven.
