Farm Shop Edinburgh – healthy food choices

This farm shop is ideally situated on the outskirts of the city centre. Attached to a well-known garden centre, there is easy access with good parking.  All your staples are readily available from the farm shop and all are from small, independent suppliers, many organic – milk, cheeses, fresh eggs, freshly-baked bread, tea and coffee.   The cold store unit is packed with yoghurts, deli olives, organic milk and interesting farm-sourced meats such as venison burgers, organic chicken, delicious steak pies to name but a few of the many options available.   Fruit and vegetables are well displayed and are all in season (and sometimes there is even a recipe on display to try out.) Most of the items that are locally sourced.

If you’re looking for something a little bit different, then this is the place to check.   A wonderful selection of biscuits for cheese or for using with dips, with a wide variety of deli produce from individual suppliers.    Every week there is always a new line to be tried from a new source, which makes your food shopping experience interesting as well as practical!  Flowers even make an appearance and are usually a unique bouquet.

This farm shop is a lovely haven off the main road and the staff are so calm and helpful which makes your shopping trip worthwhile in the current situation. You can even fit in a quiet walk uphill to view the highland cattle, taking a latte en route, to finish off your farm shop shopping experience.
