The 25th January is celebrated throughout the world as Burns Night, a night to l honour Scotland’s poet. One way to celebrate is with a visit to The Globe Inn, Dumfries where Robert Burns was a regular.
Serving the town of Dumfries since 1610, you’ll find The Globe Inn hidden in the centre of Dumfries.
Burns said this was his “favourite howff” and he spent many evenings here, even staying over. You’ll find out all the Burns gossip if you take part in the short tour.
As well as the small museum, the Snug bar and 1610 restaurant are worth visiting.

The 1610 restaurant serves throughout the day dishes such as Venison Loin, Haggis, Beetroot & Fermented Garlic; Roasted Coley, Mussels, Mushrooms & Sea Vegetables; Passionfruit, Quince & Macadamia Nougat and Blackcurrant Eton Mess, Miso, Clove & Sobacha
