Skylark Brasserie launches fresh seasonal menus at The Marcliffe Aberdeen
Aberdeen’s only five-star hotel, The Marcliffe Hotel and Spa, has unveiled a fresh new dining chapter with the launch of updated seasonal menus at Skylark Brasserie.

The new 130-seat brasserie opened at the end of January within the existing hotel, following a major investment programme. With its striking glass-domed roof flooding the space with natural light, Skylark has been designed as a bright, lively and elegant addition to Aberdeen’s food scene.
As part of the hotel’s recent £5.5 million investment, Skylark now benefits from a state-of-the-art kitchen, helping set the stage for a more ambitious culinary direction.
New seasonal menu from Executive Chef Alan Clarke
The refreshed menu launched in mid-May under newly appointed Executive Chef Alan Clarke. Originally from Forres, Clarke began honing his skills under Shirley Spear at The Three Chimneys on the Isle of Skye.
At Skylark, Clarke is putting his own stamp on the brasserie with a menu shaped by seasonality, local produce and feedback from diners. Expect lighter plates, artisan suppliers and fragrant flavour twists across brunch, lunch and dinner.
What’s on the menu at Skylark Brasserie?
Brunch highlights include Croissant Benedict, Steak and Eggs and Banana Bread French Toast.

For lunch, dishes range from Lamb Kofta starters and Prawns with chilli oil to mains such as Club Brioche, fresh salads and Chicken Schnitzel.

In the evening, diners can enjoy dishes including Scallops with tikka sauce, Beef Tacos, Crab and Lobster, Fillet of Sole and a full steak selection.

Save room for dessert
No visit to Skylark would be complete without dessert. The Marcliffe’s pastry chefs have created indulgent options including Mars Cookie Dough and Tiramisu at lunch, while evening diners can enjoy Chocolate Fondant or Strawberries with lemon curd and sorbet.
