Inverroche gin gift set for Mother's Day

23/03/2022 by Mr Foodie Leave a Comment

South African gin brand, Inverroche have launched a limited-edition gift set just in time for Mother‘s Day, containing their Verdant gin and wildflower seed bombs.

The wildflower seed bombs, once planted, will grow to become beautiful, aromatic flowers for mums to enjoy beyond Mother’s Day and as an added bonus they will attract bees and other native pollinators. The decline of bees in the UK has potentially devastating consequences for the UK’s ecosystems so these seeds are a simple way to help protect the UK’s biodiversity, by creating wildflower habitats for our pollinating friends.

The Inverroche Verdant Gin is floral and slightly sweet with a subtle golden-green hue. Enjoy with tonic, ice and a twist of lime or lemon. The gift set also comes with a cocktail recipe developed by the Heads + Tails cocktail bar in West Hampstead, London. Playfully named “You’re Mint” the cocktail comprises lemon, lime and honey with Inverroche gin, a refreshing cocktail to brighten any Mother’s Day. With sustainability in mind, the printed recipe is on recycled paper, all enclosed in a ‘forever tote’ bottle bag which can be re-used.

The Inverroche distillery was founded in 2011 and is based in South Africa‘s southern Cape coastal village of Still Bay. Their name is a combination of the Gaelic word "Inver" meaning 'a confluence of water' and the French word "Roche" meaning 'rock or stone' as a reference to their Celtic heritage. In the space of a decade they have grown to become the largest artisan gin brand in South Africa. All of their gins are infused with native "fynbos" botanicals, from the mountainous, rocky terrain of the Cape Floral Kingdom in South Africa. This indigenous flora grows nowhere else on the planet and has long been used by indigenous people for medicinal and culinary purposes.

This gift set is part of the brand’s new ‘By Nature’ range, aimed at sustainability.
The limited-edition gift set is priced at £39.95 and is available to purchase at Spirits Kiosk or from inverroche.
