What we ate

We started with a Rally Fizz, named after the Monte Carlo Rally, a long-distance car race which regularly started in Blythswood Square. The Rally Fizz consists of Prosecco, Gin, Elderflower Liqueur and fresh lemon juice. Fresh and refreshing.

These are the house wines, Care Tinto Sobre Lias and Care Blanco Sobre Lias. Easy to drink wines which would go well with a variety of dishes.

A selection of dishes were brought out for us to try:-

marinated red mullet, fennel, orange, chilli

scallop, pickled kohlrabi, finger lime, apple

beef and oyster tartare, wood sorrel, pickled shallots, seaweed cracker.

grilled octopus, chorizo, Padron pepper, smoked paprika

crab and prawn squid ink ravioli, shellfish sauce

Our favourites were the beef and oyster tartare, grilled octopus and the crab and prawn ravioli.

Seared turbot, caper and brown shrimp butter, samphire, and spinach. The salty and lemony kick of the capers mixed well with the samphire and spinach.

Oyster Shell Martini  – Isle of Bute oyster gin, Martini Bianco vermouth, Mara seaweed oil. Smoooooooth.
