Everything you need to know about Mugstock festival

MugStock festival mugdock park milngavie glasgow

This Friday (28th July) sees the return of MugStock Festival. This is the first time that I’ll be visiting, though Mr Foodie was there for one day last year, so I’m looking forward to a proper campsite music festival as it’s been a wee while since I was at T in the Park or the Reading Festival!

If you haven’t heard of MugStock or want to know more about it then read on…

What is MugStock?

MugStock takes place in Mugdock Country Park just north of Milngavie and Glasgow. It’s a family-friendly festival so you can bring the kids along to enjoy it and forgo the need to worry about a babysitter. You could even bring your granny to enjoy the music, entertainment and the country park surroundings!

There are around 120 acts over six stages with mostly smaller acts playing with a few bigger names such as The Supernaturals, Trembling Bells, Bombskare, Dave Arcari, Orkestra Del Sol, The Langan Band, Rachel Sermanni and even Mr Boom (for the weans)!  So there’s pop, folk, ska, blues, balkan beats, rock and dance music etc. With such a variety of music on offer, you are bound to find a new band to follow – or love Mr Boom that wee bit more!

Here are some highlights from last year

When
