Gamba is an award winning seafood restaurant in Glasgow’s city centre serving the finest sustainable seafood that Scotland has to offer and a range of exceptional wines in a relaxing setting.





They are  passionate about sourcing and delivering the best produce with their fish direct from sustainable stocks. It’s then cooked with respect using fresh seasonal ingredients to offer an extraordinary dining experience. Expect to find some of Scotland’s best seafood on our menu – which is updated every six weeks – including locally sourced Isle of Gigha halibut, Scottish lobster and Scottish smoked salmon from Marrbury.




At Gamba they care about what we put on a plate. Executive chef and owner – Derek Marshall is committed to reducing his carbon footprint and this dedication has resulted in Gamba being the first Glasgow member of the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA). Derek also lends his support to Cancer Support Scotland and the Marine Conservation Society.



This year Gamba have been awarded a three star rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association, retained their two AA rosettes and won the DRAM Awards BII Customer Service accolade. .  Dine with Gamba to enjoy the best sustainable seafood dishes Scotland has to offer.

I am Emma and with my husband Mark write Foodie Explorers, which is a food and travel website.

I am a member of the Guild of Food Writers and British Guild of Travel Writers.

We have a wide range of judging experience covering products, hotels and have judged, for example, for Great Taste Awards and Scottish Baker of the Year.

Along the way Mark gained WSET Level 2 in Wine and I have WSET Level 2 in Spirits as well as picking up an award with The Scotsman Food and Drink Awards.
