*CLOSED* Crema, 18 The Toll, Clarkston, Glasgow – July 2012

New cafe recently opened up on Busby Rd in Clarkston.

Arrived at lunchtime when it was busy so 6 staff was a good sign, and tables were cleared quickly.

We ordered some eggs Benedict and French toast, which came with either fresh fruit, bacon and honey/syrup. We asked for bacon with syrup but there was a bit of confusion as the waitress seemed to think we wanted this on the same plate with the eggs Benedict!

Waitress went away, no drinks arrived, food then arrived which was tasty but the portions were very small and there was no sign of any syrup on the bacon!

Both were tasty (esp the hollandaise sauce – but we were still hungry 🙁 )

While eating a single drink arrived as the waitress seemed to think we only wanted 1 but she quickly realised her mistake and went away for an Earl Grey but delivered it without asking if we wanted lemon or milk. As the portions were small our food was finished by the time we started on the drinks as both were boiling hot when they arrived.

The cakes looked good and we were offered some but we’d already stocked up on sweet things at the farmers market so gave it a miss.
Bill for brunch for 2 with drinks £13.60.
