When you are out awandering in the cold weather, soup and tea are usually the first things to spring to my mind (that and beer usually!).  We ventured into the Cottage Cafe in Baillieston for what was described as Minestrone Soup – more like tomato and basil soup – not a lump of veg or pasta to be had 🙁  It was however delicious and the tea was perfect.    Nice wee place for a cuppa and a chat.  The toilet was clean, but freezing and a unisex one at that (in case you mind it)

EDIT: The cafe has now re-opened as Maggie’s Cosy Cottage
