Add food and go
A new app launches today called Check and Cook. it’s a food app developed by French student, Pierre-Louis Sauvaige. Pierre asked Food and Drink Glasgow to have a look at the app and provide feedback.
The idea came out when Pierre wanted to cook something different from pasta or rice. He opened his fridge and never found what to cook. At this moment “Check and Cook” was born.
It took 3 years for the algorithm to be fully efficient. Users just have to fill up the app with the ingredients that they have in their pantry, then the app shows us among more than 41 000 recipes which one they can cook without buying anything more.
Click on each category to add your item.
Once added, shake your phone or ipad to provide a list of recipe suggestions.
Click on the desired recipe for further information. A grocery list tab is available to add ingredients for future purchase.
41,000 recipes at the shake of your phone whilst standing in front of your fridge. Handy for those end of the month – hmm what will I make moments. Well worth downloading.
