Celentano’s Reopens in Glasgow with New Arthouse Hotel Home and Refined Italian-Inspired Menu

One of Glasgow’s most celebrated restaurants has officially reopened its doors, with Celentano’s beginning an exciting new chapter inside the newly opened Arthouse Hotel in the city centre.

Following the closure of its original Cathedral House location at the end of 2025, chef-patron duo Anna and Dean Parker have brought their acclaimed restaurant concept to a fresh setting while retaining the values that earned Celentano’s a loyal following and critical acclaim.

A New Home for a Glasgow Favourite

Located within Arthouse Hotel Glasgow, the new restaurant combines the relaxed charm of a neighbourhood bistro with the creativity and attention to detail that made Celentano’s one of Scotland’s most talked-about dining destinations.

The kitchen continues to focus on Italian-inspired cooking, seasonal Scottish produce, and a minimal-waste philosophy. Fermentation, preservation, nose-to-tail cookery and cooking over open embers remain central to the restaurant’s approach, with much of the menu prepared entirely in-house, including bread, pasta, charcuterie, gelato and cultured butter.

What’s on the Menu?

Guests can begin with a selection of snacks and antipasti, including returning favourites such as Smoked Cod Doughnuts with kimchi and Lasagne Fritte with porcini and Cora Linn cheese.

New additions include:

  • Mackerel crudo with cucumber, radish and green apple
  • Stracciatella with sourdough crumb
  • Chicken liver mousse
  • House-made spiced ‘nduja served with sourdough and smoked cultured butter

Fresh pasta remains a highlight of the menu, available in both small and large portions for sharing.

Standout dishes include:

  • Agnolotti with Mossgiel ricotta, courgette, green olives and pumpkin seeds
  • BBQ Dexter beef ragù with Cora Linn
  • Linguine with crab and ‘nduja XO

For larger plates, diners can choose from seasonal seafood and carefully sourced meats, including dayboat monkfish, Kames trout tail and a changing selection of steaks. Sides such as beef fat potato strati and baby gem salad with pickles complete the offering.

Desserts Worth Saving Room For

Celentano’s popular Affogato returns to the menu, featuring malted barley gelato, cold brew coffee and Bare Bones chocolate mousse.

Other sweet options include:

  • Poached rhubarb with yoghurt sorbet
  • Pink pepper doughnuts
  • Milk gelato finished with extra virgin olive oil

Chef’s Menu and Italian-Inspired Sunday Roast

For those looking to experience the kitchen at its best, the Chef’s Menu offers a multi-course sharing feast centred around a seasonal venison main course.

Available during dinner service from Monday to Thursday and throughout Fridays and Saturdays, the menu provides a deeper exploration of Celentano’s produce-led approach.

Sundays bring an Italian-inspired roast alongside the return of the restaurant’s much-loved tiramisù, first introduced during a series of Glasgow pop-up events earlier this year.

The team has also confirmed plans for a pre-theatre menu and oyster happy hour later this summer.

Families are welcomed with a dedicated children’s menu priced at £13.50.

Natural Wines and Sustainable Cocktails

The drinks programme, curated by Anna Parker, complements the kitchen’s ethos with a carefully selected list of European wines, many sourced from organic and biodynamic producers.

Signature cocktails include:

  • Celentano’s Negroni made with house vermouth rosso
  • Chilli Margarita featuring Volcan tequila
  • Seasonal martinis and daiquiris

Many drinks incorporate ingredients and by-products from the kitchen, helping reduce waste while creating unique flavour combinations.

Stylish New Setting at Arthouse Hotel

Designed by Studio A-nrd, the restaurant reflects the wider artistic vision of Arthouse Hotel, combining reclaimed materials and contemporary design with a warm, lived-in atmosphere.

Features include:

  • Reclaimed timber flooring
  • Exposed brickwork
  • Bespoke zinc-topped tables
  • Open kitchen pass
  • Central cocktail bar
  • Semi-private dining room

The 60-cover restaurant balances casual comfort with refined dining, creating a space equally suited to special occasions and relaxed midweek meals.
