Support Action for Children and eat some tasty food with Yes Chef!

Yes Chef! has launched for 2018 with this year’s intake of young men eager to make it in the food industry. This charity-funded program aims to turn six young offenders lives around and equip them with the skills to work in a kitchen.

Yes chef Action for Children The young men are part of Action for Children Scotland’s 'Moving On Project' who are learning about hospitality, gain skills and move on with their life.

The day was light-hearted, beginning with a lesson in making pizzas from scratch and there was also a blind-folded taste test.

The Yes Chef! Project is supported by Tennent’s Training Academy, 5pm.co.uk, Kained Holdings and some of Scotlands top chefs, as well as ourselves, Foodie Explorers.

The aspiring professional chefs will learn the skills necessary to make it in the kitchen.  At the end of their training programme,  they will serve up a six-course tasting menu for the audience of over 500 guests!

The first afternoon of pizza making was a success, with some tasty looking pizza creations. Onwards and upwards for these young men!
