‘Poised’ Leopard Sculpture Aberdeen

From the creator of the Kelpies sculpture in Falkirk, Andy Scott has provided the centrepiece to Aberdeen’s Marsichal Square with the named ‘Poised’.

The leopard sculpture is constructed from steel and weighs more than two tonnes.  It also stands 15 metres high.

Did you know that the leopard is a heraldic symbol connected to the Aberdeen coat of arms?

Legend has it that two leopards were gifted to to the city by King James I.
