Drink: Northern Monk Neapolitan Ice Cream Pale Ale

07/06/2019 by Emma

An Ice Cream Milk Shake - Northern Monk Neapolitan Ice Cream Pale Ale

I first tried this beer at a pop-up Grunting Growler was doing and was smitten, so hurrahs were heard when I was in the local Morrisons getting some shopping done.

At 6.2% this is an ice cream shake with a kick. Maybe not one to have more than a couple of cans at the time.

A cloudy amber pour which provided a good head that disappeared quickly.  This was served chilled straight out of the fridge so it was possibly a little bit too cold, but perfect on this humid evening.  Brewed with strawberries, lactose and chocolate, its an unmissable beer for those who like something less conventional.  One for those of you with a sweet tooth.   This one was brewed in collaboration with Little Leeds Beer House and York Cocoa House.
