No disaster at this Titanic Cafe
Another day and more research for our London Greasy Spoon Guide. This time a visit to Titanic Cafe on Holloway Road in Islington. We were drawn in by the Titanic attempting to escape from the signage and rescuing us from a world of mediocre breakfasts.
Inside is clean and tidy, not quite like the inside of a cruise ship, however it was comfortable and welcoming.
Menu
What we ate and drank
The obligatory tea, which came with the set breakfasts. A Match of the Day breakfast for Mark, which came with tea and toast, 2 sausages, 2 eggs, beans and chips for £8.90. Thumbs up for the tea to start with, a good strong cuppa. Meaty sausages, cooked well fried eggs, lots of beans and chips.
Set 5 for myself, 2 bacon, sausage, egg, tomato, beans and bubble £9.00. Tasty bacon and sausages, good beans, well cooked egg and tasty bubble as well. A freshly cooked fried tomato topped it off.
Verdict
No sinking this ship. Good, friendly service, tasty food and relaxing space.
