Party with Brockman’s
Brockmans Gin and Food and fun? What’s not to like? Their #PressforGin events are known as a good night. We went along to their second night in Glasgow at The Argyle St Arches to check it out.
Ticked off the attendance list we were handed a lace mask (oooer!) and our first cocktail of the evening. A perfect serve Brockman’s and Tonic with pink grapefruit peel and blueberries. 😍
Inside the decor was just like stepping into a burlesque club. Candles, smoke and lots of tables with flowers. Each table had a ‘Press for Gin’ button on it, guess where we sat 😉
Menu
Small plates paired with cocktails – excellent.
Food
The cocktails were spaced out throughout the evening, matching up with the courses.
Seared scallops, squid ink linguine, coriander oil, Brockman’s infused seaweed foam, tuile. Black sesame seared tuna loin, pickled blackberry, wasabi coriander crumb and crispy seaweed.Liquorice pulled pork, charcoal brioche bun slider, fennel slaw.
Blackberry and orange peel pannacotta with liquorice syrup.
Drinks
Summer Negroni – Brockman’s Gin, Aperol, vermouth, raspberry and orange.
Berry Breeze- Brockman’s Gin, elderflower, grapefruit, cranberry and lime.
Entertainment
The evening started gently with The human jukebox – Tony Bowen, tweet him a song and he’ll play it. Funnily enough, he didn’t take our first suggestion of 2unlimited – no limits but did play our other requests of Daft Punk – Get Lucky and Candi Staton – you got the love.
However, things got lively with The Fuel Girls 🔥
What a night. Definitely, one to look out for in the future. We’ll keep you posted for future events when we find out!
