Berlin in spring just got sweeter. Gelato Week 2026 Berlin returns from Thursday 7th to Sunday 17th May 2026, with more than 45 ice cream parlours across the city creating special one-off gelato flavours for the event.
Each participating gelateria will serve a unique flavour for just €1.80 per scoop, making this a fun and affordable way to explore Berlin, one cone at a time.
What is Gelato Week Berlin?
Gelato Week Germany celebrates artisanal ice cream, bold flavours and Berlin’s love of Italian-style gelato. Each shop creates an exclusive flavour available only during the event, so expect everything from classic creamy scoops to more unusual combinations.
When is Gelato Week 2026?
Gelato Week Berlin 2026 runs from Thursday 7th May to Sunday 17th May 2026.
Where is it happening?
The event takes place across Berlin, with participating gelaterias in neighbourhoods including Charlottenburg, Friedrichshain, Lichtenberg, Schöneberg, Prenzlauer Berg, Pankow, Mitte, Neukölln and Kreuzberg.
Some of the special flavours include:
- Dolce Bacio at Baci Italiani – tahini ice cream with salted caramel and Lotus
- Watermelon Twist at Alphi’s Eis – watermelon, feta, mint and tajin
- Tokyo Love at Artigiani am Schlachtensee – matcha, wasabi and yuzu
- Yuzu Disco at Gelato Disco – Japanese citrus sorbet with walnut crunch
- Indian Summer at Lumi Gelato e Caffè – mango, lime, salt and chilli
Gelato Week stamp contest
Pick up a Gelato Week flyer, collect stamps as you visit participating gelaterias, and enter the contest. Collect at least five stamps and send a photo of your map by 21st May 2026 for the chance to win gelato vouchers worth €100 or €50.
Foodie Explorers tip
Plan your gelato route by neighbourhood. Kreuzberg, Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg are good areas for turning the event into a walking food tour, with plenty of cafés, bars and sights nearby.
