From commuters to croissants at Merro Crouch End
Merro Crouch End is located at the former Crouch End railway station, The line is now a popular walkway. We sat outside in the sun beside the old railway bridge and the parkland walk which links Highgate to Finsbury Park.
We ordered a couple of drinks and snavks. Quiche like an omelette, eggy and full of dill. Quite tasty but a little greasy and could do with some more salt and pepper.
Coffee opaque, looked like Bovril, thankfully it didn’t taste like it.
The croissant had lots of chocolate and custard however, the custard was a bit thin and needed more vanilla.
Look out for the fish.
Inside are old photos of the former station and books with historic photos
Verdict
A pleasant place to sit and catch your breath whilst walking the Parkland Walk, or if you’ve made it up the hill from Crouch End!
