Be a Big Broth souper trooper for Centrepoint

The 2nd November is the day to get together with friends, workmates and family to be ‘souper’ and help raise some cash for Centrepoint with Yorkshire Provender. In case you don’t know, Centrepoint is an organisation which aims to give young homeless people a future and has more than 400 staff around the UK providing help and support with housing and jobs.

To take part in The Big Broth all you need is soup! Make a big pot of soup and sell them to raise money to help homeless young people.

This money will be used not only to provide a safe place to stay but also to give specialist mental health support, healthy living and relationship support, education programmes and life-skills courses, plus employability training with access to work experience and apprenticeships. Need some inspiration on soup making, have a watch below!

If making your own soup isn’t your thing, don’t despair! Last year’s competition winner Omero Gallucci, a chef from Guildford, created a delicious recipe and it’s available to buy now at Waitrose & Partners. Warming, flavoursome and slightly smokey making it the perfect accompaniment to any bonfire night celebrations. Even Fred and Cleo (our cats) came up for a sniff to check out the soup (well, it does contain chorizo!).
