Sherlock and breakfast near Euston Railway Station

Speedy’s Sandwich Bar and Cafe is instantly recognisable if you are a fan of the BBC television series Sherlock.

Situated just below the flat of Holmes and Watson, the cafe is a popular stop for tourists. I had no idea about this having plucked Speedy’s from the air as I wandered around searching for food. (Note: this was a pre-Covid visit)

As you’d expect there are Sherlock themed photos around the cafe. Thankfully not too much but enough to warrant a closer look.

With a long day ahead of travelling on the train, I picked the full English breakfast.  This consisted of 2 fried eggs, beans, sausage, bacon, tomato and a slice of toast. This was delicious and excellent value at £5.45

Verdict

Just what was needed. A cafe with excellent service and tasty grub.
