Emma Mykytyn Harry Gow Bakery launches new sharing cakes in Asda stores across Scotland
Harry Gow Bakery is bringing a taste of the Highlands to supermarket shelves with the launch of a new Sharing Cake Range in 50 Asda stores across Scotland.
This is particularly exciting news for us, as Emma makes a point of visiting Harry Gow whenever she is in the Highlands and absolutely loves the bakery’s famous Dream Rings!
While the Dream Rings have not made it into Asda just yet, the new cake range means Harry Gow fans no longer need to travel north to enjoy some of the family bakery’s scratch-made treats.
Customers have been asking for years when Harry Gow products would become available outside the Highlands. Now, the Inverness-based bakery is answering that demand with one of the biggest retail launches in its history.
The new Sharing Cake Range will be available in selected Asda stores from 23 July 2026, allowing shoppers across Scotland to pick up a Harry Gow cake as part of their regular weekly shop.
Harry Gow sharing cakes in Asda
The range includes three flavours:
– Vanilla Raspberry Slice
– Lemon
– Butterscotch
The Vanilla Raspberry Slice is already a much-loved Harry Gow favourite, while Lemon and Butterscotch are two new additions created especially for the sharing range.
Each cake costs £4.25 and combines scratch-baked sponge with rich fillings and the bakery-quality finish Harry Gow customers have come to expect.
Although the cakes have been designed for sharing, we suspect there may still be some arguments over who gets the last piece.
Highland baking reaches customers across Scotland
Harry Gow remains committed to making its cakes from scratch using quality ingredients, rather than relying on ready-made baking mixes.
The company hopes the Asda partnership will allow it to reach a much wider audience without losing the family values, quality and Highland character that have helped build such a loyal following.
For many people, Harry Gow is more than simply a bakery. It is a familiar stop during a trip to the Highlands, a box of cakes brought home by friends or relatives, and a counter packed with favourites such as Dream Rings, marzipan apples and buttery pastries.
The bakery has also become known for its distinctive sense of humour, with its social media following almost as enthusiastic as the customers visiting its shops.
A successful year for Harry Gow
The Asda launch follows another successful year for the Highland bakery.
Harry Gow was named Scottish Baker of the Year 2026, becoming the first bakery to win the title three times. The company also collected five of the 11 national product awards presented during the competition.

From Inverness to Asda stores across Scotland
Harry Gow currently has 19 bakery shops across the Highlands. Its expansion into Asda stores represents a major step for the family business and gives customers throughout Scotland the opportunity to discover its baking.

When will Harry Gow cakes be available in Asda?
The Harry Gow Sharing Cake Range will be available in 50 Asda stores across Scotland from 23 July 2026.
The Vanilla Raspberry, Lemon and Butterscotch cakes will each cost £4.25.
We will still be heading north for Emma’s much-loved Dream Rings, but having Harry Gow cakes available closer to home is certainly a welcome development.
