Everything you need to know when visiting Fizz Feast
Scotland’s premium celebration of sparkling wine returns to Edinburgh this November, and this year is special, as it will be their tenth annual event, marking a full decade of fun, fine wine and artisan foods (usually charcuterie, cheese, honey etc.).
Start your festive season the right way by sampling many of the available wines, taking part in a masterclass or two, and visiting the food and gift stalls. Every guest will also receive a Fizz Feast tote bag to fill with any goodies you buy, the Fizz Feast brochure, a Wine Events Scotland pen and a Riedel Champagne Flute, which is worth £15.
Every year you can expect to taste sparkling wines from around the world, including Champagne, Cava, Prosecco, Cap Classique, Franciacorta etc. And you can meet the producers too, to learn more about the wines and how they are made.

To mark the 10th anniversary, there will also be a Friday Night event in addition to the usual Saturday sessions. Tickets are priced at £25 for the shorter Friday session and £35 for either of the Saturday sessions.

Fizz Feast will take place at Edinburgh Academy, 42 Henderson Row, Edinburgh, EH3 5BL, which is in the Stockbridge area, a 25-minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley or 20-minute walk from Edinburgh bus station. You can take the 23, 27 and 36 buses from central Edinburgh to get there, in fact the 36 stops right outside the entrance but unfortunately doesn’t pass Waverley, Haymarket or the bus station. You can also take the 24 and 29 buses, which stop a bit further way.
If you attend the noon session on Saturday, it will commence with a Sabrage (a technique for opening a sparkling wine bottle using a sword or similar implement!)

Masterclasses are still to be announced but these allow an opportunity to sit and learn about (and of course taste) a selection of wines in a relaxed setting. They usually last for 30 minutes and are priced at £15 each. Everyone attending will receive a second Riedel Champagne flute to take home, which is worth £15 so now you’ll have a set!

There is also a raffle at the end of each session where you can win wine, wine glasses or other goodies.
So get ready for Fizz Feast and maybe we will see you there?
