This limited release celebrates the naming ceremony, performed by HRH The Princess of Wales, for HMS Glasgow, the first of the Royal Navy’s cutting-edge Type 26 frigates. Like the legendary ships before her, HMS Glasgow carries forward the spirit of maritime innovation.
This release is matured in Guyanese rum casks, which is a nod to the deep connection between the Royal Navy and rum. For centuries, rum was the lifeblood of the Navy, with daily rations fuelling sailors through arduous voyages. The influence of these casks enriches the whisky with layers of tropical fruit, fudge, and demerara sugar.
