Hawksmoor Turns 20 with a Special Anniversary Menu
The new Hawksmoor Classics Menu brings together some of the most talked-about dishes and drinks from the restaurant group’s 20-year history.
Since opening in London’s East End, Hawksmoor has become one of the UK’s best-known steak restaurants, famous for dry-aged British beef, charcoal-grilled steaks, classic cocktails and indulgent desserts. The anniversary menu celebrates the dishes that helped shape Hawksmoor’s reputation, while giving diners the chance to enjoy them at the prices charged when the restaurant first opened.
What’s on the Hawksmoor Classics Menu?
The anniversary menu features a selection of starters, steaks, sides, sauces, desserts and cocktails that have become firm Hawksmoor favourites over the years.
Starters
Starters include Old Spot Belly Ribs, which have been on the menu since Hawksmoor’s earliest days, alongside Charcoal-Roasted Scallops, inspired by seafood expert Mitch Tonks.
Also on the menu is Potted Beef & Bacon with Yorkshire Puddings, a dish that began life as a staff meal before becoming a customer favourite.

The Main Event: Longhorn Ribeye
At the heart of the Classics Menu is a dry-aged Longhorn ribeye, grilled over charcoal and served with traditional Hawksmoor sauces and sides.
The Longhorn breed is a nod to Hawksmoor’s early days, while the accompaniments include bone marrow gravy, anchovy hollandaise and beef-dripping chips.
Desserts and Birthday Cake
Desserts include Hawksmoor’s iconic Sticky Toffee Pudding, a dish that has never left the menu in 20 years.
Also making an appearance are Salted Caramel Rolos, one of Hawksmoor’s most playful desserts, alongside a brand-new Birthday Cake made with chocolate, hazelnut and gold leaf. The new dessert is a reimagining of Hawksmoor’s infamous Grand Rocher.
Classic Hawksmoor Cocktails
No Hawksmoor celebration would be complete without cocktails. The Classics Menu includes three drinks that showcase the steakhouse group’s celebrated bar programme:
- Shaky Pete’s Ginger Brew
- Grapefruit Picador
- 20th Anniversary Martini
Will Beckett on Hawksmoor’s 20th Anniversary
Will Beckett, Co-Founder and CEO of Hawksmoor, said:
“When we opened in Spitalfields in 2006, a pint cost £2.50, nobody had an iPhone, and we had absolutely no idea what we were doing. Twenty years, and fourteen restaurants later, we wanted to do something that felt genuinely generous rather than just celebratory.
Serving the very best of our menu at the prices we charged when we started felt like the right way to say thank you to everyone that’s made it all possible.”
Responsible Sourcing and British Beef
The anniversary menu also celebrates the relationships that have helped shape Hawksmoor over the past two decades, including its long-standing partnerships with British farmers and its continued focus on responsible sourcing.
Since opening in Spitalfields in 2006, Hawksmoor has grown to 14 restaurants across the UK, Ireland and the US. The restaurant group has also been named the No.2 steak restaurant group in the world by the World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants for the second year running.
