Get away this hogmanay in Scotland
Hogmanay is a well-known celebration in celebration and here we have a few places to share for your new year festivities.
Cardinal, Edinburgh
This Hogmanay, guests can enjoy dishes such as Cardinal’s signature Smoked Lobster with Pink Fir Apple Potato and Chives, as well as new additions from Isle of Barra Scallop with Wild Leek to Bread Pudding with Kvass, Bread Pudding Ice Cream and Candied Lemon. paired with the very best wines from its cellar. The menu will be revealed closer to the date to best reflect seasonal ingredients, but guests can expect dishes that highlight the bounty of Scotland’s natural larder. There are three sittings (5pm, 6:30pm and 8pm), and guests are welcome to stay for the bells and raise a glass to the New Year in the restaurant. The menu with wine pairing is priced at £280pp, and bookings can be made online.

The Clarence, Glasgow
The Clarence will ring in 2026 with a bang, with a three-course menu of comforting classics and full of festive cheer, Priced at £95, guests can kick off the evening with a Glenrothes 15 Old Fashioned or Manhattan, or a glass of Delamotte Champagne, served alongside snacks to start the meal. Starters include hand-dived Orkney scallops roasted in the shell or hand-made linguine with winter truffle, followed by the likes of venison or vegetable wellington with dauphinoise potatoes, or halibut with Champagne beurre blanc. To finish, guests can choose from Bare Bones chocolate mousse, custard tart of Cashel blue cheese with truffle honey. Two sittings are available, and the bar will be open until 1am for both diners and walk-ins to toast to 2026. Bookings can be made online.

The Gilded Saloon, Edinburgh

Cail Bruich, Glasgow
At Cail Bruich, Lorna McNee’s Michelin-starred restaurant, guests can enjoy a special Hogmanay tasting menu and wine pairing, complete with Champagne to start, and more Champagne – or a dram – to finish and ring in the bells. Arrival time is 7:30pm for an 8pm start time, and guests are welcome to stay and celebrate the arrival of the New Year at midnight. Tickets can be booked online and are £300 per person, with the option to upgrade to Cail Bruich’s Hedonistic Wine Pairing for an additional £200.

Newhall Mains, Black Isle
For Hogmanay in the Highlands, Black Isle Newhall Mains is offering a three-night escape from 29th December to 1st January, including:
Winter cocktails by the fire on arrival followed by a cream tea in the library

An intimate whisky tasting exploring Highland single malts
