Staying in a Nuclear Bunker in Brno
If you like your city breaks a little quirky, Brno has a stay that’s as unforgettable as it is underground. Welcome to the Brno Nuclear Bunker, or Nuclear Bunker 10-Z as it is also known. This is an atmospheric Cold War relic transformed into a tourist attraction and occasional overnight experience. Whether you’re a history lover, an urban explorer, or just someone who enjoys telling great travel stories, here’s everything you need to know about staying in a nuclear bunker in Brno.

What Is the Nuclear Bunker in Brno?
Hidden beneath Špilberk Park in the city centre, the 10-Z Nuclear Bunker (also known as Kryt 10-Z) was built during the Cold War to shelter political elites in the event of a nuclear attack. Today, it’s one of Brno’s most unusual attractions and a highlight for alternative city breaks in the Czech Republic.
Thick concrete walls, heavy blast doors, original machinery and spartan interiors make this bunker feel like a step back in time—far removed from Brno’s buzzing cafés and wine bars just a few metres above your head.

Can You Really Stay Overnight in the Brno Bunker?
Yes, it’s not luxury accommodation, can you see why Mark booked it?!
