Grange Hotel celebrates 160 years with a £160 break for two

Fancy a few days away before the festive rush? The Grange Hotel in Grange-over-Sands is celebrating its 160th anniversary with a £160 overnight package for two, including dinner, breakfast, cream tea and a cocktail on arrival.

Overlooking Morecambe Bay in Cumbria, the hotel makes a handy base for a coastal wander or a trip into the southern Lake District. It is easy to reach by road or rail, making it an option for a break without the car, too.

What’s included in the £160 Grange Hotel offer?

The anniversary package costs £160 for two people sharing and includes:

  • An overnight stay in a superior room
  • A speciality cocktail on arrival
  • Dinner for two
  • Breakfast the following morning
  • Cream tea on either your arrival or departure day
  • Full use of the hotel’s wellness and leisure facilities

There’s a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, so you can fit in a swim or a soak between exploring and dinner.

Originally modelled on Grange-over-Sands’ picturesque railway station, the Grange Hotel was fully renovated in 2025. Today, its interiors combine an art deco style with modern amenities, while many rooms look out towards the Cumbrian coastline or surrounding woodland.

The hotel also has a bar and restaurant, and the town is a short walk away if you fancy stretching your legs.

For a longer outing, nearby attractions include Holker Hall and Gardens, the Lakeland Motor Museum, Sizergh Castle and Windermere Lake Cruises. Check individual opening dates when planning an autumn or winter visit.
