Silversea’s S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste) culinary programme, an immersive journey of refined regional gastronomy at sea, features more than 160 labels from around the world, including wines from less heralded wine-producing countries, such as Mexico, Turkey, and China. Wines served at the S.A.L.T. Kitchen restaurant complement ever-evolving, location-based menus – one very local, which changes each evening, and one regional offering to reflect the voyage’s wider itinerary.
Guests looking to elevate their experience further can look to the Connoisseur List, which features more than 120 labels. With an extensive range of complimentary wines available to guests, only the finest, most well-known wines in the world are considered for the Connoisseur List. These include Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, the top Super-Tuscans, and Barolo, Amarone, and Brunello from Italy. Each Silversea ship has temperature-controlled storerooms and EuroCave wine cabinets in the restaurants.
La Dame aboard Silver Ray, known for its exceptional culinary offerings, has been recognised with the Award of Excellence in the 2025 Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards. This prestigious accolade celebrates restaurants that demonstrate an unparalleled commitment to curating exceptional wine lists that complement and enhance the dining experience. The Award of Excellence is granted after a rigorous selection process that evaluates a restaurant’s wine offerings based on several key criteria, including quality of wine, depth of selection, and presentation.
Building on this achievement, Silversea continues to offer guests a truly unique wine experience. The fleetwide complimentary wine programme features more than 45 labels from around the world, offering the broadest complimentary wine selection found on the seas. Regional representation is fundamental to the experience – this means a Pinot Grigio will come from Italy, just as Malbec will come from Argentina and Tempranillo from Spain. The number of wines from each country is meticulously tailored to guest preferences and cruise itineraries.
