I tried the viral M&S strawberry sandwich that everyone has been raving about
The internet has been in a spin regarding
Marks & Spencer’s Japanese inspired strawberry sando. I’ve been visiting M&S regularly to try and get some white asparagus (none!), but I wasn’t paying £2.80 for one sandwich!
Whilst at Glasgow airport after our trip back from Bristol, Bath and Avebury, we spied the sandwich reduced! If you know us, you know we ❤️ a reduced sticker, so in the basket it went.
So the hype around the sandwich is to do with the fact that it is Japanese-inspired and we know Japanese food is tasty- will this strawberry sando be as good as a Japanese one?

Whats in the M&S Strawberry Sandwich?
M&S use their Red Diamond strawberries paired with whipped cream cheese on sweetened bread.
We counted about 4 strawberries inside and unlike Japanese sandwiches, these came eith crusts.

What does the M&S Strawberry Sandwich taste like?

Delicious!
A substantial sweet brioche type bread slathered in the cream cheese mixture, not too tart and not too creamy. Atop this, sliced strawberries.
£2.80 for one sandwich is still crazy, however…a tasty craziness.
