A magical dining experience this Christmas at The Gallery Restaurant
We love to visit the training colleges when on our travels and this time we visited The Gallery Restaurant, which is the training restaurant at Forth Valley College. We joined them for their special Christmas menu is served until 18th December, featuring three delicious courses for just £26.95.
Not only is the price excellent, look at that view!

What we ate and drank

Atlantic Prawn Cocktail with sourdough toast. A healthy amount of prawns in a mixture of sizes and a good kick to the marie rose sauce.

Chicken liver parfait with festive onion chutney. Smooth and creamy chicken liver parfait, the onion chutney had some delicious festive spices in there.

Honey roast parsnip and apple soup. A lightly curried soup which was sweet, creamy and very easy to eat.

Next up the main courses, Mustard glazed bacon joint with dauphinoise potatoes. Creamy dauphinoise potatoes went really well with the moist bacon joint. One for making in the house I think.

Someone had to order the turkey dinner and look at that portion?!. You won’t starve at this college! Tender, moist turkey, real stuffing, and lots of flavour here.

Pan fried salmon with tender potatoes and a creamy sauce. Again, a healthy portion and cooked perfectly.

It was soon time for dessert, sticky toffee pudding with soaked fruit, delicious.

The Black forest cheesecake was thick, creamy and full of flavour.

We ended with mince pies and a cup of tea or coffee. We had to take the pies home as we were stuffed!
