Tall Ship Glenlee and Mharsanta Launch Events Partnership
The Tall Ship Glenlee and Mharsanta team up for Scottish food, whisky and events in Glasgow
Tall Ship Glenlee and Mharsanta have launched a new Glasgow events partnership, combining a historic waterfront venue with Scottish food, whisky and hospitality. From corporate gatherings to private celebrations, the collaboration brings a taste of Scotland aboard the Clyde-built sailing ship, we joined their launch celebration to see what is on offer.

The collaboration pairs the Glasgow waterfront venue with the Merchant City restaurant’s Scottish food and hospitality, creating a new option for corporate gatherings, gala dinners, private celebrations and incentive trips.

Little’s Chauffeur Drive and The Clydeside Distillery supported the launch, adding luxury transport and whisky experiences to an evening celebrating the city’s maritime heritage, music and food and drink.
Scottish hospitality aboard The Tall Ship Glenlee
Celebrating its 130th anniversary in 2026, Glenlee brings plenty of history to the party. The Clyde-built sailing ship circumnavigated the globe during its working life and now welcomes visitors and event guests on Glasgow’s River Clyde.
For anyone organising a Scottish-themed event in Glasgow, the appeal is easy to see: a historic ship as the backdrop, with food, drink and entertainment helping to tell the story of the city and its surroundings.

Whisky, live music and a ceilidh on the Clyde
The launch brought event professionals, corporate buyers, universities, destination management companies and tourism representatives aboard to experience the collaboration.

Guests were welcomed by a traditional piper before an evening featuring live Scottish music, a ceilidh, refreshments and curated whisky experiences from The Clydeside Distillery. Therefore getting to experience the variety of areas available from welcome drinks to dining to a dance floor!

Lauren Macrae, Head of Visitor Experience & Events at The Tall Ship Glenlee, said:
“The Tall Ship Glenlee provides a unique and memorable setting for events, and this collaboration demonstrates how we can combine that distinctive backdrop with exceptional Scottish food, drink, entertainment and hospitality.”
Sophie Mallon, Chief Marketing Officer at Lomond Leisure Group, said the project brought together local businesses, musicians, event specialists and other partners to celebrate Glasgow’s heritage, culture and hospitality.
Harjeet Kaur, Head of Sales and Marketing at Little’s Chauffeur Drive, highlighted the opportunity to connect luxury transport with hospitality and visitor experiences, supporting event organisers and showcasing Glasgow and Scotland.
Our verdict
With the Glenlee providing the setting and Mharsanta bringing its Scottish hospitality, the collaboration offers organisers a way to build an occasion around the Clyde, complete with food, whisky and a little ceilidh dancing.

The space is stunning and surprisingly easy to navigate, even with a whisky in hand! It didn’t feel like the usual anonymous hotel conference room. We especially liked how the packages were easy to tailor to individual needs.
