Deviled Eggs

Retro party favourite deviled eggs

Ingredients
  

  • 12 large free-range eggs
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 –2 tsp English mustard
  • 1 tsp sea salt flakes
  • ¼ paprika plus extra for sprinkling
  • few drops Tabasco

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan with eggs, bring your water to a boil.  Let the water boil for a minute and turn off the heat.  Let the eggs sit in the saucepan for 10 mins.
  • Remove from the hot water and place into cold water.
  • Peel the eggs, then halve the eggs lengthways and gently prise the yolk out of each half.  Place the whites onto a plate and place the yolks into a bowl.
  • Into the bowl with the yolks, add mayonnaise, English mustard, salt, paprika and a couple of shakes of Tabasco. Stir and mash with a fork or blend until smooth.
  • Taste for seasoning and heat, add more mustard or Tabasco.
  • Fill a piping bag with a star nozzle with the yolk mixture.  Fill the egg whites with the mix.
  • Sprinkle with paprika and serve.
