Scottish Stewed Sausage Recipe

Traditional and comforting Scottish stewed sausage recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 6 sausages
  • 2 onions sliced
  • 2 carrots sliced
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs
  • 1 Oxo cube dissolved in 500ml hot water
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions
 

  • Add some oil to a pan on a medium heat.
  • Add  the onions, carrots and mixed herbs and cook until softened.
  • Add the sausages, Oxo stock and Worcestershire sauce to the pan.
  • Simmer for around 30 mins.
  • Mix the cornflour with some water to make a smooth slurry, then mix into the gravy.  Add the cornflour mix slowly and stir to avoid lumps.
  • Cook the mixture until it reaches your desired consistency.
  • Serve and enjoy!
