Zvezda, Wolfkova 14, Ljublijana – April 2012

Ham and Cheese sandwich €4.60 – ham, cheese, salad and egg.  Fresh, chewy bread with fresh ingredients.  Those europeans know how to do ham n cheese!

Toast with truffle €5.80 – strange taste but it worked well with the sweetness of the toast.

Prekmurska gibanica (€4.10) and Emona kocka (€3.60), these are traditional Slovenian and Macedonian cakes.  The slovene cake was curd tasting with apple and cinnamon.  The Macedonian layers of chocolate with a creamy almost creme caramel filling.

Roasted barley Coffee – €1.90 – very creamy and smooth.

Modern, decadent surroundings, very helpful staff (even looked up wiki for us to explain the cakes), €22.20 all in, for delicious cakes and very good coffee. (there is free wifi too)
