Air fryer Honey sesame chicken recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Chicken Thighs skinned and boneless
  • Marinade
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp rice wine
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp corn flour
  • Sauce
  • 55 g brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • Sesame seeds - as many as you like
  • Spring onions for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Place chopped chicken thigh, soy sauce, rice wine, garlic powder, sesame oil, egg and corn flour into a large bowl and combine.
  • Get your hands in there and mix it up well.
  • Refridgerate and let to sit for at least 30 mins.
  • Take out a piece of chicken at a time and coat in corn flour, which you have placed in to a separate bowl.
  • Repeat this process until all the chicken pieces are coated.
  • Add the chicken pieces to your air fryer, giving them a liberal spray with oil.
  • Cook at 200C for about 10 mins until golden.
  • Whilst the chicken is cooking, you can make the sauce.
  • In large frying pan add brown sugar, honey, ketchup, sesame seeds and rice vinegar and mix together.
  • Bring to a simmer.
  • Once the chicken is cooked and the honey sesame sauce is simmering, add the chicken and toss to coat in the sauce.
  • Serve on a plate and garnish with chopped spring onions.
  • This dish goes really well with rice and some brocolli.
