Do you love to make marmalade? Is yours the best around? Show you #LoveMarmalade and apply to the World Marmalade Awards to be held on  Sat 19th & Sun 20th March 2016.

Started in 2005, the awards seek to publicise marmalade, encourage marmalade makng and of course recognise how delicious it can be.

The Awards & Festival are sponsored by Mackays, Fortnum & Mason, and Paddington Bear. Business Supporters are Patteson’s Glass our approved suppliers of marmalade jars and Hudson’s Media. Festival Supporters are: Barclays, Epic Events, Rheged, Penrith Chamber of Commerce, Penrith Locally, Penrith Bid, Ullswater Steamers, Sharrow Bay, Inn on the Lake, The North Lakes Hotel, Eden FM and Eden Local and Cranstons.

As well as raising awareness of marmalade, the  Dalemain Marmalade Awards & Festival have raised nearly £200,000 for Hospice work in Cumbria and around the world. The full homemade entry fees goes to Hospice at Home, Action Medical Research and Marie Curie in Scotland.


There are 14 categories this year with Valentines Day being the deadline for all entries. This competition is open to all amateur/homemade marmalade makers.
