Love mac and cheese? Of course you do! So you’ll love this brand new book from Marshalls that’s filled with recipes and ideas to give your mac and cheese some oomph!
Mr Foodie made it along to the launch of the hardback recipe book, which just happened to coincide with the monthly SMAC (Scottish Macaroni Appreciation Club) at Sloans on Wednesday. We hadn’t actually been to SMAC since the inaugural event way back in March 2013 and it’s still going strong. On the night we were treated to four Christmas-themed varieties of macaroni (classic unadulterated mac, christmas dinner with all the trimmings, brie & cranberry and chestnuts & stilton).
Unfortunately none of these recipes are in the book but how do you fancy breakfast macaroni, truffle macaroni or macaroni burgers instead? Perhaps you want to know what cheese works best? Or how about beer macaroni or some desserts made using macaroni!? It’s all in this new book with contributions from Gerry Healy, head chef at Sloans; Kieran Woodwards from the Admiral which is also famed for its mac ‘n’ cheese; and author, Hannah Peebles, who collated all the recipes was there to sign copies.
