Where to eat – Pie Bob’s, Arbroath

All the pies in Arbroath at Pie Bob’s

Pie Bob’s bakery has been serving the town of Arbroath since 1925 when it was started by the McPherson family.  It stayed in this family until 2002 when Muried Braid and her partner Neil Elford took over.

We stopped by here on the last day of our holiday in Arbroath for some sustenance for the day ahead, as it had been recommended by a friend.  We had also heard about its magical sobering abilities from fellow guests at Buick Lounge Bar, who told us of the properties of Pie Bob’s chips and cheese after a night out!  Especially since Pie Bob’s is open 24 hours hurrah for 24-hour carbs.

Inside there is a magnitude of sweet and savoury options available.

It was so hard to pick what goodies to try.  We picked a selection with mac and cheese (of course!), chicken and sweetcorn and a breakfast pie.   Pie cases filled with delicious carbs, bliss.  Hot pies ranged in price from £1.30 to £1.80 with cold pies, cakes and rolls also available as well as meals such as sausage, chips and beans.
