Two day Vegan extravaganza at Tron Bar & Kitchen

The Tron Bar & Kitchen will play host to a two-day celebration of all things vegan. Earlier this year they hosted a Vegan pop up market and due to its success are holding a second one.

A Vegan pop up market will be held on Thursday 19 April (5pm -8pm), followed by an exclusive Mediterranean vegan tasting menu event on Friday 20 April.

Featuring over 10 of Scotland’s finest vegan food suppliers, the evening pop-up event will be another ideal opportunity for those looking to stock up on high-quality locally sourced vegan produce. Visitors will be able to enjoy live handpan music from samadhi soundscapes. while they shop for vegan and ethical snacks and ingredients.

Confirmed suppliers for Thursday’s pop-up market include: Roaming Vegan Bakers, Roots, Fruits and Flowers, Cool Jerk Vegan Pies, Glasgow Distillery, In-Bloom, I-Zen Juices, Fry Coconut Island, Rawsmary, Choc-a-lot by Karuna, Glasgow Kimchi Co., Almighty Foods and Bottle of Ginger.

On Friday 20 April Tron Bar & Kitchen’s Executive Head Chef Mark Mackenzie will be developing an exclusively curated vegan menu. For one night only, enjoy the quintessential flavours of the Mediterranean in specially-developed plant-based dishes. From creamy charred courgette arancini to wild mushroom & Quorn ravioli.

Quinoa, crispy potato skin, cauliflower & sumac.

Creamy charred courgette arancini, canary red pepper mojo, water cress.

Fragrant spiced chickpea cake, smoked aubergine salsa, avocado & basil.

Wild mushroom & Quorn ravioli, creamy cannellini bean & white wine sauce, crispy cavolo nero.

Maple baked apple, pancakes, cinnamon & coffee infused mascarpone, toasted pine nuts.

Five-course tasting menu – £22.50
