Spotlight on Wonky Pickles

Wonky pickles piccalilli

Wonky veg not wonky taste

One of the good things to come out of the COVID pandemic is the growth of small, independents.  One of these is Wonky Pickles by Chartered PR consultant Laura Sutherland.  We’ve known Laura for a few years now and were happy to try her pickles and pass the word on.

The story behind Wonky Pickles

Wonky Pickles was founded in November 2020 by  Laura Sutherland. With extra time on her hands,  due to the COVID pandemic, Laura made her usual Christmas gifts as well as some more to sell and keep her occupied.  Thankfully, everyone can now get to taste Laura’s wonky pickles.  Made with wonky produce, everywhere knows every wonky ones are tastier anyway, so there’s less waste and more tasty food.

Wonky Piccalilli

We think that the Wonky Piccalilli was one of Laura’s original recipes.  A crunchy and tangy piccalilli which is packed full of flavour.

Perfect mouth sized pieces of cauliflower and green beans as well as red peppers for a splash of colour against the mustard and turmeric base.

This is probably as close as to our home made piccalilli you can get. None of that mushy, watery stuff that’s normally on the supermarket shelf.
